Tariq Woolen and Jason Myers Finish Atop Their Positions For NFC Pro Bowl Fan Voting
On Monday evening, the NFL announced the final tally for 2022 Pro Bowl fan votes. Representing Seattle atop the NFC are rookie cornerback Tariq Woolen and kicker Jason Myers.
In 14 games, fifth-round selection Tariq Woolen has etched his name in franchise history, setting a Seahawks single-season record for rookie interceptions (6).
The 6-foot-4 former University of Texas-San Antonio wideout-turned-corner has earned praise and mentorship from Seahawks Legends like Richard Sherman, as he dazzles with his versatile skill package.
With fan voting concluded, Woolen finished with an NFC-best 166,954 votes.
Eighth-year kicker Jason Myers finished in the lead for NFC kickers in fan voting in his fourth season with Seattle. Missing just one field goal attempt on the season, Myers is 26-27 for a league-high 96.3 percent success rate. On kicks between 30-39 yards, the Marist alum is 10-11, and a perfect 10-10 on attempts of 40 yards or more. Myers has not missed a field goal attempt over the last 10 games.
Fan voting counts one-third toward determining Pro-Bowl rosters, with players' and coaches' votes counting for the other two-thirds. Seattle's duo, along with other Seahawks who finished near the top of NFC voting, will hope to hear their names called in Wednesday's official Pro Bowl roster reveal.
