Tuesday Round-Up: Former Seahawk Keenan Reynolds Shines in Dragons Home Opener

With Seahawks on hand, former Seahawks wide receiver Keenan Reynolds delivered in the clutch with a touchdown and two-point conversion.

RoundUp

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Tuesday, February 18 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

New Team, Same Home Field

Missing football yet? It may be the NFL offseason, but football is already back at CenturyLink Field as the Seattle Dragons defeated the Tampa Bay Vipers 17-9 on Saturday.

Several big plays helped seal the victory for the Dragons, but key to their comeback was the second half heroics of former Seahawks wide receiver Keenan Reynolds.

With the Dragons trailing 9-0 early in the third quarter, quarterback Brandon Silvers connected with Reynolds on a post route for a 68-yard touchdown. The deep catch proved to be the spark the Dragons needed as they followed-up with a pick-six by defensive end Marcell Frazier. To increase their lead, Reynolds hauled in another catch for a successful Dragons' two-point conversion.

In front of an XFL record 29,172 in attendance, Reynolds finished the day with three catches for 87 yards highlighted by the long touchdown. The former Navy quarterback came to the Seahawks during the 2018 offseason and went back and forth between the practice squad and 53-man roster before landing with the Dragons this season.

And even early into the offseason, Seahawks linebacker KJ Wright couldn't stay away from CenturyLink Field. Joined by former Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor, Wright and his long-time teammate took in the Dragons' home opener from the stands.
