This Week’s Plan For RB Jadarian Price & Zach Charbonnet And Other Seahawks Injury Updates

Injury updates from Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald's Monday press conference a day after his team's Week 7 win over the Chiefs.

The Seahawks had a couple of new injuries come out of Sunday's win over the Chiefs, and the status of those players, left tackle Charles Cross, receiver Rashid Shaheed and running back Velus Jones Jr., is not yet known early in the week, the Seahawks also have a chance to get some players back from injury this week.

Rookie running back Jadarian Price, who has spent the past four games on injured reserve with a chest injury, is eligible to return this week, and will practice. Fellow running back Zach Charbonnet, who continues to work his way back from a torn ACL, will again practice fully this week and has a chance to make his 2026 debut in next Monday's game against the Bears.

"The situation's a little different, obviously the length of the injuries," Macdonald said when asked about how quickly Price could return to game action after returning to practice. "Could they both play? Yes. Could neither play? Yes. Could either one play? Yes."

As for the injuries coming out of the game, Macdonald said of Cross, "Charles has an ankle. We'll see how long it's going to be."

Macdonald did not clarify if it's a high ankle sprain or not, and when asked if injured reserve was a possibility, Macdonald said, "We haven't had that conversation yet."

When asked about reports that Cross could miss some time, Macdonald said, "I saw that report. That didn't come from me or our trainer."

Macdonald added, "It's Monday, he's got an ankle, and we're going to take it day by day from there."

Earlier in the day, Macdonald said on his weekly radio show that the early reports on Shaheed, who left the game with a knee injury, were positive, and said that was still the case Monday afternoon.

"No update on Rashid from this morning," Macdonald said. "Again, early returns are positive, how long that means, I'm not sure."

On Jones' hamstring injury, Macdonald said, "We're not sure the severity. So we'll see with Velus."

The Seahawks celebrated the 20-3 win vs. the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
