A day after the Seahawks' 20-3 win over the Chiefs, head coach Mike Macdonald sat down for his weekly appearance on Seattle Sports 710 AM.
In addition to discussing what he saw in an impressive Week 7 victory, Macdonald also provided a few injury updates.
Two players, receiver Rashid Shaheed and left tackle Charles Cross, exited Sunday's win and did not return, Shaheed with a knee injury and Cross with an ankle injury.
Macdonald said they are still waiting on imaging on Cross' ankle so he did not have an update, but the initial news was positive on Shaheed.
"Rashid, early returns are positive," Macdonald said on the Brock and Salk Show. "Any time the knee's involved, you're holding your breath, so right now, let's just say it's positive."
Macdonald also gave an update on running back Zach Charbonnet, though it has not yet been decided if Charbonnet will make his 2026 debut when the Seahawks host the Bears in Week 8.
"I'll just say, we're sticking to our plan," Macdonald said. 'He's still going to practice in a full capacity, then we'll evaluate as the week goes on and go from there. He had a great week, he's in great spirits, but we've got to remember, it's going to be nine months out from ACL surgery, you can list how many people on one hand that have ever done that—Adrian Peterson, is that it?"
Macdonald also said that rookie running back Jadarian Price, who is eligible to come off of injured reserve, will return to practice this week.
"The plan is for JD to practice this week, then game status and all that, we don't know yet," Macdonald said.
