The Seahawks signed Cody White off the practice squad on Tuesday, adding the receiver back to the 53-man roster. Additionally, running back Khalil Herbert was signed to the practice squad.

Safety Jerrick Reed II was waived to make room on the roster for White, and placed running back Jacardia Wright on practice squad injured reserve.

White, who is in his sixth NFL season, made Seattle's 53-man roster to start the season and played in the opener against the 49ers, and has gone back and forth between the active roster and practice squad over the past two weeks.

Herbert gives the Seahawks added running back depth with Wright going on injured reserve and with Zach Charbonnet on the injury report with a foot injury that sidelined him for last weekend's win over the Saints.

A 2021 sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech, Herbert has appeared in 56 games with 13 starts, starting his career with the Bears before finishing last season with the Bengals.

Herbert has rushed for 1,905 yards and nine touchdowns on 400 career carries, adding 312 yards and two touchdowns on 53 receptions. Herbert's most productive stretch came from 2022-2023 with the Bears when he rushed for 1,341 yards and six touchdowns in 25 games with 10 starts. Herbert also has kick return experience, primarily during his rookie season when he had 27 returns for 650 yards.
