The Seahawks signed safety D'Anthony Bell off of their practice squad on Wednesday, adding him to the 53-man roster ahead of Thursday night's game in Arizona.

Fullback Robbie Ouzts was placed on injured reserve, the result of an ankle injury suffered in Seattle's Week 3 win over New Orleans.

Additionally, the Seahawks signed safety Jerrick Reed II to the practice squad a day after waiving him.

Bell, who signed as a free agent this offseason, was elevated off the practice squad for each of the past two games, playing as the third safety in big nickel packages and also playing a big role on special teams. In Sunday's win over the Saints, Bell blocked a punt to set up a Seahawks touchdown.

Ouzts, a fifth-round pick out of Alabama, will now have to miss at least four games before he is eligible to return. With Ouzts sidelined, the Seahawks will turn to Brady Russell at fullback.

"Number one, he's a phenomenal teammate and a guy that we have a lot of confidence in that has already been a phenomenal player on (special) teams," offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak said of Russell, who converted to fullback from tight end this offseason. "He had a really great offseason with us as an offense so looking forward to getting him on the field this week."
