The Seahawks placed Zach Charbonnet on the physically unable to perform list prior to the start of training camp, an expected move for the running back who is coming back from offseason knee surgery.

Charbonnet, who had 730 yards on 184 carries last season, led the team with 12 touchdowns, becoming the first Seahawks players to have double-digit rushing touchdowns in a season since Marshawn Lynch in 2014. Charbonnet's season was unfortunately cut short in the playoffs due to a torn ACL, which occurred in Seattle's Divisional Round win over the 49ers.

While no timetable has been set for Charbonnet's return, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald has been impressed by the work that Charbonnet has been putting in during the rehab process.

"He's doing a great job," Macdonald said last month. "I know he has high expectations for himself, and we're looking forward to seeing where it ends up."

Charbonnet is the fifth player the Seahawks have put on the PUP list ahead of camp so far along with safety Nick Emmanwori, running back Kenny McIntosh, cornerback Tyrone Broden and defensive tackle Deven Eastern. Players on the PUP list are eligible to return to practice at any point during camp, then if they remain on the list after the roster is reduced to 53 players, they must miss a minimum of four games before returning.
