The Seahawks made a pair of additions to the roster on Monday, signing linebacker Michael Dowell and long snapper Zach Triner.

Safety AJ Finley, who injured his knee in Saturday's practice, was placed on injured reserve, and linebacker Seth Coleman was waived to make room on the 90-man roster.

Dowell, who went undrafted out of Miami of Ohio last year, spent time on Seattle's practice squad last season. Triner, who has appeared in 84 games over six NFL seasons, gives the Seahawks another option at long snapper with the preseason opener coming up later this week and with regular long snapper Chris Stoll dealing with a back injury.

"His back locked up," coach Macdonald said Saturday when asked about Stoll's absence from practice. "Not sure how long it's going to be. He may or may not be ready for the game next week, so we'll have to figure that out."
