The Seahawks placed outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu on the physically unable to perform list on Thursday.

Nwosu, who battled multiple injuries last season, had knee surgery this offseason that general manager and president of football operations John Schneider referred to as "a cleanup of some sort." Adding, "It was nothing major, but he had to get some stuff cleaned up."

Nwosu, who signed with the Seahawks in 2022, was one of the team's top defensive players during his first season and a half with Seattle before a pectoral injury cut short his 2023 season. Nwosu returned from that injury, only to suffer a knee injury in the preseason last year, then upon returning from the knee injury, he was sidelined by a thigh injury in his first game back.

Players on the PUP list can return at any time throughout training camp and the preseason, but if they remain on that list after rosters are reduced to 53 players, they must miss a minimum of four games before being eligible to return.
