The Seahawks placed cornerback Artie Burns on injured reserve Tuesday, the result of a toe injury that knocked him out of last week's game.

Burns, a ninth-year veteran who first signed with Seattle in 2022, started this season on the practice squad but injured his toe prior to the season opener. With cornerback Riq Woolen out last week, Burns was signed to the active roster last week and served as Seattle's nickel corner in Thursday's loss to 49ers, but he reinjured his toe and had to leave the game.

With Burns on injured reserve, the Seahawks now have an open spot on their 53-man roster for when the trade with Jacksonville for defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris, which was agreed upon on Monday, becomes official when he passes a physical.

The Seahawks franchise will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025 so in honor of its 50th season, we are recognizing some of the greatest players to play in Seattle. The 12s have the opportunity to vote for the top 50 players in franchise history, with 163 players being eligible. Take a look at all 163 players that met the criteria for the vote and cast your ballots here.
