Seahawks Add Jarran Reed To 53-Man Roster, Place Will Dissly On Injured Reserve

The Seahawks made roster moves ahead of Sunday’s game against the Ravens, including activating Jarran Reed to the 53-man roster

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll made it clear following Friday's practice that defensive tackle Jarran Reed was ready to go for Sunday's game against Baltimore, and a day later the team made it official, adding Reed to the 53-man roster.

Tight end Will Dissly, who sustained a season-ending Achilles injury in last week's win in Cleveland and had surgery earlier this week, was placed on injured reserve to make room on the 53-man roster

Reed, who was suspended for the first six games of the season, returned to practice this week, but despite the time away, Carroll was impressed with what he saw from Reed.

"He must have worked really hard," Carroll said. "He would tell you that he did. The challenge of the practice was nothing for him. He'd been working hard enough so that this is not a step up for him, which is what you hope so that he doesn't have a fall out coming off the practices. He's ready to go."
