The Seahawks signed guard McClendon Curtis to their practice squad Monday, bringing the versatile offensive lineman back after he was waived from the 53-man roster last week.
Additionally, safety Jerrick Reed II, who opened the season on the physically unable to perform list, has been designated to return to practice. Reed, a 2023 sixth-round pick, established himself as a special teams standout as a rookie, recording nine special teams tackles, tied for third most on the team, despite appearing in just 10 games due to a torn ACL.
Reed can practice for up to 21 days before being added to the 53-man roster, at which point he must either be added to the roster or be out for the season. Reed is the second player to return to practice from the PUP list, joining nose tackle Cameron Young, who made his 2024 debut in Thursday night's game. Tackle Abraham Lucas remains on the PUP list, and Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said last week that there is still no timeline on his return.
Curtis, who initially joined the Seahawks last season when he was signed off the Raiders' practice squad, has appeared in four games this season. The Seahawks had an open spot on their practice squad after signing cornerback Artie Burns to the 53-man roster last week.
