The Seahawks established an initial 17-player practice squad on Monday, a group made up entirely of players who were with the team in camp before being waived or released on Sunday as Seattle reduced its roster to 53 players.
The group includes four players classified as veteran practice squad signings, cornerback Trevon Diggs, safety AJ Finley, running back Velus Jones Jr. and safety Rodney Thomas II. Teams are allowed up to six veterans on their practice squad. Finley and Thomas give the Seahawks added safety depth with Seattle carrying only three safeties on the current 53-man roster, while Diggs will factor into the competition to be Seattle's third cornerback.
Also on the practice squad are four 2026 draft picks who were waived on Sunday, receiver Emmanuel Henderson Jr., nose tackle Deven Eastern and cornerbacks Michael Dansby and Andre Fuller, as well as 2025 draft pick, receiver Ricky White III.
Center Federico Maranges is back for the second year as Seattle's international practice squad player, which allows Seattle to have a 17th player on the practice squad.
Additionally, linebacker Chris Paul Jr. was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
