Monday Round-Up: PFF Rates Highest-Graded Seahawks On Offense From 2018 Season

Good morning, 12s.

Here’s a look at what’s ‘out there’ for today – Monday, March 11 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Key Offensive Players

On Saturday, the notable football analysis website Pro Football Focus sent out a tweet containing a list of the highest-graded offensive Seahawks players from the 2018 season. The grades were released as a part of their annual routine of ranking every single player in the league to showcase which players are making a huge impact on their respective teams regardless of name, contract worth, or previous history.

The list includes a mix of Seahawks veterans and young talent, ranging in position group from quarterback to offensive tackle. From first to fifth, the players with the highest overall grade according to PFF are quarterback Russell Wilson, running back Chris Carson, offensive tackle Duane Brown, wide receiver Tyler Lockett, and wide receiver Doug Baldwin.

Looking outside of the Seattle Seahawks, a few players on the list also ranked well in PFF’s league-wide list including Wilson as the sixth-ranked quarterback, Carson as the fifth-ranked running back, and Brown as the fifth-ranked left tackle. Some of these rankings come as no surprise with some incredible statistics from the 2018 season in mind, such as Wilson setting a career and franchise-best with 35 passing touchdowns and Carson becoming the first 1,000+ yard rusher for the Seahawks since 2014.

Pro Football Focus also released a list of the highest-graded Seahawks on defense from the 2018 season with linebacker Bobby Wagner topping the list at 91.9.
