Good morning, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today — Monday, September 19 — about your Seattle Seahawks.

Media Reacts To Seattle's Week 2 Loss

The Seattle Seahawks fell to .500 after their 27-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers Sunday. Despite a rough going at all-three-phases of the game, there were several bright spots.

Seattle Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett was inducted into the Kansas State Ring of Honor Saturday morning - and recorded 100-yard game No.16 for his career.

Seahawks rookie cornerback Tariq Woolen continues to exhibit his uncanny athleticism, blocking a 49ers 20-yard field goal attempt in the third quarter. The loose ball was recovered by none other than Seahawks cornerback Mike Jackson, who recovered two fumbles in Week 1.

Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll discussed Woolen's play following the team's loss.

"He's the ideal guy," said Carroll. "Yeah. That's as good a guy as you can find to do that. Hopefully that's just one of a number coming."

Seahawks rookie running back Kenneth Walker III made his debut Sunday, rushing four times along with two receptions. Former Miami Hurricane Travis Homer led the backfield in receptions, with 4 catches for 33 yards (8.2 yards per catch). Coach Carroll alluded to Homer's performance when discussing Walker III following the game.

"I couldn't even tell," said Carroll. "I don't think he got a chance to even get going. I like the third down make that we had. Other than that, he didn't get an opportunity."

internal-link-placeholder-0 is just one-of-seven NFL specialists to average 50 yards per punt or better currently, with one being downed within the 20-yard-line and another called for fair catch.
