Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Monday, June 17 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Path To The Draft

The phone rings while sitting amongst his friends and family members in Oxford, Mississippi. DK Metcalf picks up, responding to the call, "Hello?" Metcalf's one-word introduction to the call is quickly followed up with an energetic response from the other side. "DK!" yells Seahawks general manager John Schneider as he continues to tell him to perk up because they are about to select the Ole Miss wide receiver at No. 64 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.

We know you've seen that moment on Seahawks.com from inside the draft room at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, but have you ever seen Metcalf's moment from Mississippi? NFL Network recently released a series of videos titled, Hey Rookie, that features Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf and his path to the National Football League.

The four-video series follows Metcalf as he prepares for and participates in the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. The series also dives into why he has pursued football since a young age and then finishes off with the 2019 NFL Draft and Metcalf receiving his call from the Seahawks.

Local and national media have had their eyes on the 6' 4" 229 lb. receiver since he arrived in Seattle last month. Metcalf definitely raised some eyebrows during the team's minicamp and throughout the offseason training program. Many are looking forward to seeing how he will compete once he reports back to the VMAC for training camp at the end of July.
