Good morning, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today — Friday, February 10 — about your Seattle Seahawks.

Tyler Lockett partners with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health For Healthy Heart Fundraiser

With the 2015 NFL Draft approaching, Kansas State alum Tyler Lockett was diagnosed with a heart condition at the NFL Combine. Heading into his ninth year with the Seahawks, Lockett has collaborated with the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health’s Center for Cardiovascular Health for the Healthy Heart Fundraiser.

A heart condition can put an immediate halt to a pro football career, but Lockett was cleared by medical professions after learning it'd existed since his birth.

"Luckily," said Lockett. "I was able to continue to pursue my passions and dreams, and I'm still here now."

Coming off his fourth-consecutive 1,000-yard season, Seattle's back-to-back Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee is helping those dealing with heart conditions in an artistic way. Driving the Healthy Heart Fundraiser is Lockett's aptly-designed motivational shirt with a special message.

"The Heart of a Champion Begins in the Mind" lays across the chest of the shirt above Lockett, in Seattle's signature college navy and action green.

"I think it just starts really in the mind because you have to be able to decide to get up and do those things," Lockett said. "You have to be able to be the person that looks out for yourself when nobody else looks out for you."

Whether on or off the field, Lockett continues to inspire others with his perseverance through all obstacles. Now, he wants his collaborative T-shirt with the Center for Cardiovascular Health to inspire those towards being proactive with their health. Tyler Lockett to Compete in American Cornhole League for "Superhole" Celebrity Matchup

Staying active this offseason, Lockett will join former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and MLB stars Joc Pederson and Justin Turner in the American Cornhole League for charity. Lockett isn't just trying to stay active - he's competing for bragging rights and to give back. In partnership with DIRECTV and Johnsonville, the ACL Superhole IV celebrity matchup will pit the four athletes against each other, as they compete for their chosen charity.

Often played for fun on beaches and at tailgates with sandbags, the time-passing game of pitching a sack of sand in a hole from distance will be broadcast live on ESPN on February 10 featuring some of America's top athletes. Lockett will represent the events host DIRECTV, as he will be paired with ACL singles Women's Champion Cheyenne Bubenheim against Fitzpatrick and five-time Champion Ryan Smith. The Seahawks wideout will represent Ronald McDonald House Charities, a beneficiary of DIRECTV. Lockett discussed the importance of the game of cornhole and his participation in the event.

"I know the fans love this game," said Lockett. "It's perfect for tailgating – you can even pick up cornhole bags with my name and jersey number at our team shop. I'm planning on going out there and showing the fans that their favorite players can mix it up on the cornhole boards as well as on the gridiron."

Tune in to ESPN at 9:30pm PT to cheer on Lockett as he looks to earn bragging rights across sports and bring home some money for a cause.
