Friday Round-Up: NFL.com Highlights Russell Wilson & Ciara's Trip To Brazil

See highlights from Russell Wilson and Ciara's trip to Brazil in a new NFL.com video.

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Friday, April 5 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Going Global With Russell Wilson & Ciara

Earlier this offseason, Russell Wilson and Ciara traveled to Brazil, a trip that included taking part in that country's famous Carnival celebration, a visit to the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, football practice on the beach and more. NFL.com released a nearly 10-minute long video of the trip, which is embedded above.

"Everything about this whole trip has been very special," Ciara said in the video. "It has been an incredible cultural experience."

Wilson and Ciara, who have in previous offseasons taken trips to China, London and Africa, see their travels as a way to connect with different people and cultures.

"We set out on a mission to just go around the world and experience different places and different people," Wilson said. "… Ciara and I were talking about being able to find different ways to connect to the world."

Wilson also met world champion surfer Gabriel Medina, who is from Sao Paulo, and the two talked workouts and mentality.

"I love trying to meet people who are successful, because you can always learn something," said Wilson, who gave Medina a signed Seahawks jersey.

At Carnival, Ciara said, "I don't even have words to describe what I saw… The costumes, the music, the dancing, the passion, the love. You can't put it into words, it's just a feeling you get while you're there."

Wilson also made time to get in some work, practicing on the beach with a local team called Flamengo Imperadores. The couple also made a surprise visit to a youth football team in a low-income neighborhood, bringing with them new helmets and balls for the team.

Social Post Of The Day

Today's social post of the day comes from FOX broadcaster Curt Menefee, who shares photos from a five-week trip that included him wearing a Seahawks shirt on a hike in Bhutan. Menefee was also recently named one of six nominees for Outstanding Sports Personality, Studio Host for this year's Sports Emmys.

More From Around The Web

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports broke down NFL quarterbacks into different tiers for the third straight year, and for the third time, Russell Wilson lands in Tier 1, the "bona fide franchise quarterbacks" along with Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Ben Roethlisberger, Patrick Mahomes and Andrew Luck.

Throughout the first week of April, the arch lights on the roof of CenturyLink Field will be blue as part of the Light It Up Blue campaign to support autism awareness.
