The Seahawks kicker is 19-for-20 on field goals through the first 10 games of the 2022 season.

round up nov 25

Good morning, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today — Friday, November 25 — about your Seattle Seahawks.

Jason Myers Is Mr. Reliable in 2022

The 6-4 Seahawks are currently in a tie for first place in the NFC West due to major contributors at all-three phases of the game. Kicker Jason Myers is on-fire through 10 games, as statistics show he could be in contention for a second Pro Bowl nod.

Marist alum Jason Myers is in year eight of his professional career; his fourth with Seattle. As Seattle prepares to welcome the 3-7 Las Vegas Raiders to Lumen Field, Myers is quietly having a stellar year. In 2020, Myers completed 100 percent of his field goal attempts for Seattle, going 24-for-24 in his second season in the Emerald City.

Myers is currently 19-20 (95%) on the year, ranking No. 2 in field goal percentage and No. 5 in total points with 83. But more noteworthy is Myers going a perfect 5-5 on attempts of over 50 yards. He's just three field goals from surpassing his career-high of seven field goals made from over 50 yards in 2016 while with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Since his last miss in Seattle's Week 4 48-45 win over the Detroit Lions, one that came after a high snap that appeared to disrupt the timing of the kick, Myers is a perfect 13-13 on field goal attempts. Myers is 26-27 on extra point attempts, going 13-13 since his only miss against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5's 39-32 loss.

While Seattle looks to move to 7-4 and retain sole possession of first place in the division, it's worth noting that Myers could earn his second Pro Bowl nod since 2018.

Will Dissly Named Seahawks Nominee for 2022 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award

Seahawks tight end Will Dissly will represent the team as nominee for the 2022 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award. Each team selects one player for the award, which recognizes those who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship on the field.

The award is presented each year to an NFL player who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition.

The winner of the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award is determined by a vote of current NFL players. From the eight finalists, each team's players will submit a consensus vote of their choice for the winner. As in Pro Bowl voting, a team cannot vote for its own player.

The winner will be announced as part of NFL Honors. He will receive a $25,000 donation from the NFL Foundation to a charity of his choice. Dissly looks to become the first Seahawk to win the award.
