Good morning, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today — Friday, October 14 — about your Seattle Seahawks.

Geno Smith and Tariq Woolen's Madden Grades Get a Boost

While the 2-3 record may not be indicative of the talent on the Seahawks roster, several players have made themselves very noticeable throughout the early portion of the 2022 season. Art often imitates reality, and EA Sports' Madden 23 is showing love to some Seahawks standouts with a ratings boost

Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith receives a 9-point overall boost after an electrifying five-game start to the 2022 season.

Quarterback Geno Smith may be in year 10, but he's just hitting his stride in his second season with Seattle. Smith is currently the NFL's completion percentage leader (75.2%) and is tied for fifth in touchdown passes (10). While still a tad bit low for our liking, Smith made the leap from a 66 overall on launch day to a 75 currently.

Seahawks rookie cornerback Tariq Woolen has been dominant in the first five games of his rookie campaign, leading the Seahawks in interceptions (3). But Woolen is also leading all rookies in passer rating allowed (40.2), proving to be the lockdown corner the Seahawks envisioned when they selected him in the fifth round of the 2022 draft.

After recording his third interception of the season Sunday against New Orleans, Woolen's rating jumps two points to a 75.

Seahawks linebacker Cody Barton led the defense with seven tackles in Sunday's loss to the Saints, jump two points overall to a 73.

Following the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders Thursday Night Game, Barton is now tied for No.11 on the NFL's Tackles list with 46.

Seahawks rookies Kenneth Walker III (78), tackle Charles Cross (74) and tackle Abraham Lucas each earned a point towards their overall in Week 5. Veteran tight end Will Dissly gains one overall point as well (77).
