The Seahawks put two important players on injured reserve this week, but while they'll certainly miss having safety Earl Thomas and tight end Will Dissly on the field, they are getting some other key players back this week.
"The guys were pretty darn healthy with a couple issues we're waiting on, but for the most part we're really ready to go," Carroll said following Friday's practice. "It's really exciting to have an opportunity to play such a good team at C-Link coming off last time we were here, and we're going to see if we can do something really good this weekend."
Running back Chris Carson, who missed last week's game with a hip injury is, "ready to go," Carroll said. "He had a great week."
Asked how they would sort out carries at running back, particularly with Mike Davis coming off of a big game in last week's win over Arizona, Carroll said, "That's a good problem. We're looking forward to our guys playing. We'll let you know when we start playing."
Guard Ethan Pocic is listed as questionable with an ankle injury that kept him out of the previous two games, but Carroll said, "He can play in this game." J.R. Sweezy, however, is expected to start again at left guard regardless of Pocic's status.
And speaking of Sweezy, he was absent from Friday's practice, but for a very good reason.
"His wife's having a baby this morning," Carroll said.
Also back this week is defensive end Dion Jordan, who missed last week's game with a hip injury.
Less certain is the status of defensive end Frank Clark, who was unable to practice all week because of illness.
"He has been sick all week," Carroll said. "He has been back here, but we sent him back home a couple times because he's just not feeling well. He's got a bad stomach, so he's just working through it. We've just got to wait it out and see what happens on the weekend."
The Seahawks will again be without linebacker K.J. Wright, who continues to work his way back from arthroscopic knee surgery, and rookie defensive end Rasheem Green, who will miss a second straight game with an ankle injury.
For the Rams, kicker Greg Zuerlein remains out with a groin injury, while linebacker Mark Barron (ankle) and tight end Tyler Higbee (knee) are both questionable after being limited in practice Friday.
