The Seahawks signed safety D'Anthony Bell, bringing back a player who spent most of the 2025 season in Seattle.

Bell, who signed with the Seahawks as a free agent last spring, appeared in 14 games with two starts last season, but did not finish the season in Seattle because he was claimed off waivers by the Panthers after bouncing back and forth between Seattle's 53-man roster and practice squad.

"It's just the culture that they built here," Bell said of his decision to return to Seattle. "From when I first signed it was like a family culture, and everybody wanted to win, and I love to win. I feel like the energy that we have here and the culture that we have here is some of the best I've been around, so I'm just happy to be back."

For Bell, being claimed by Carolina late in the season showed that he was valued by another team—not to mention the pay bump that comes with being on a 53-man roster instead of a practice squad—but it also meant he didn't get to finish out a Super Bowl run after being a part of Seattle's regular-season success.

"It was definitely bitter-sweet not being able to play in the Super Bowl, but everything happens for a reason, that's how I feel about it," Bell said. "My time will happen when it's supposed to happen to get the opportunity to actually play in the Super Bowl. But I'm happy to be back and be a part of it, and I can say I was a part of a Super Bowl team, so that's still memorable to me."
