Seahawks Re-Sign Linebacker Chazz Surratt

The Seahawks re-signed linebacker Chazz Surratt on Wednesday, retaining a special teams standout for 2026.

Surratt was a third-round draft pick in 2021 and played nine games for the Vikings his rookie season. He spent his next three seasons with the Jets, appearing in 32 games with five starts.

Last season for Seattle, Surratt appeared in 11 games, playing 60 percent of the special teams snaps and recording 11 tackles, the second-most on the team.

"We have a great team, great culture here," he said. "So excited to be back with the guys and get back to work… The brotherhood, just going to play for each other. And then as well we have [Mike] Macdonald and AD (Aden Durde) and all those guys that are great coaches, they put us in the right position to succeed."

Check out all of the familiar faces returning as well as the newest editions to the Seahawks as part of the 2026 NFL Free Agency class.
