Thursday Practice Report: Five Players Do Not Participate For Seahawks

Doug Baldwin (hip), Duane Brown (ankle), D.J. Fluker (hamstring), Dion Jordan (knee), and K.J. Wright (knee) were among those who did not participate for the Seahawks.

Five Seahawks players were sidelined for Thursday's practice, Seattle's first workout of the week at Virginia Mason Athletic Center ahead of the team's Monday Night Football matchup with the Minnesota Vikings at CenturyLink Filed.

Receiver Doug Baldwin (hip), left tackle Duane Brown (ankle), right guard D.J. Fluker (hamstring), defensive end Dion Jordan (knee), and linebacker K.J. Wright (knee) were among those who did not participate for the Seahawks.

Fluker, who left this past Sunday's win over the 49ers to injury, will likely be out "a couple of weeks," Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said Monday. Carroll did not have any additional updates on Fluker's status when he met with the media before Thursday's practice.

Wright, who on Thursday was named the team’s nominee for the 2018 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, returned to the club after undergoing special treatment on his knee last week.

"He had a good day yesterday, worked well and he feels good again the next day," Carroll said of the team's Pro Bowl linebacker. "So we're going to just take it one day at a time and see how he progresses. He's upbeat about it, but I don't have a timeline for you."

Carroll said the club is hopeful Wright will be able to return to action before the season's end.

"We've got another month here," Carroll said. "We're hopeful we can get him back."

Meanwhile, five other players were limited for the Seahawks on Thursday. Running back Chris Carson (finger), fullback Tre Madden (chest), defensive tackle Shamar Stephen (foot), linebacker Shaquem Griffin (knee), and safety Shalom Luani (quadriceps) all took less than a full workload. Carson hurt his finger in the win over San Francisco, while Luani, Madden, and Stephen were all inactive because of injuries in the Week 13 victory.
