Thursday Practice Report: Did Not Participate List Lightens For Seahawks

A closer look at Thursday's practice report for the Seahawks and Colts ahead of their Week 4 matchup at CenturyLink Field.

The Seahawks had eight players sidelined to start the week of practice on Wednesday and on Thursday that number was down to five, with receiver Doug Baldwin (groin), running back C.J. Prosise (ankle), free safety Earl Thomas (knee), and cornerback Neiko Thorpe (ankle) not participating for a second consecutive day. Defensive end Michael Bennett (not injury related), meanwhile, was given the day off to rest.

The lack of practice work for Baldwin and Thomas so far this week appears to be precautionary, with head coach Pete Carroll stating yesterday he expects Baldwin to suit up this Sunday night against the Indianapolis Colts, and Seattle defensive coordinator Kris Richard adding today that he expects Thomas to see action this weekend.

"Here's the one thing I know about Earl," Richard said following Thursday's practice. "As long as he doesn't have any broken bones and he can breathe, he can play. So right now it's not a concern. He's still preparing as if he's going to play and we fully expect him to."

Elsewhere on the injury front for Seattle, tight end Jimmy Graham (ankle), left guard Luke Joeckel (knee), linebacker D.J. Alexander, and cornerback Richard Sherman (Achilles) were all upgraded to limited participants on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. Defensive end Frank Clark (hamstring) was upgraded to full after a limited showing Wednesday, and defensive tackle Nazair Jones (knee) was added to Thursday's practice report as a limited participant.

For the Colts, receiver Kamar Aiken (concussion) and guard Deyshawn Bond (ankle) were upgraded to full participants Thursday after working in limited fashion on Wednesday. Running back Marlon Mack (shoulder) and cornerback Chris Milton (hamstring) were each upgraded to limited today. Six players did not participate for the Colts, including quarterback Andrew Luck (right shoulder), who Indianapolis has already ruled out of Sunday's game at CenturyLink Field.
