Seahawks to Visit Canada for 12 North Tour

Fans are invited to join the Seahawks for events in the Vancouver, B.C. area Sept. 16-18, including a festive gameday viewing party on Sept. 18

RENTON, Wash. – The Seahawks announced plans to celebrate the start of the 2022 season in Canada with a special 12 North fan engagement tour. The tour will take place Sept. 16-18 in the Vancouver, B.C. metro area. Fans are invited to join Seahawks Legend K.J. Wright, Mascot Blitz, Seahawks Dancers, Blue Thunder and more for a weekend of fun that will culminate in a festive gameday viewing party for fans to cheer on the Seahawks as they play the 49ers in the Bay Area on Sept. 18.

Blue Friday Night Lights

  • Friday, September 16
  • 6-8 p.m. PT
  • Location: Centennial Secondary School - 570 Poirier St, Coquitlam, B.C. V3J 6A8

In celebration of youth football and spreading a love for the game, the Seahawks are bringing the team's Blue Friday Night Lights program to Centennial Secondary School as they unveil their brand-new football field. Join Seahawks Legend K.J. Wright, Mascot Blitz, Seahawks Dancers, Blue Thunder, and special guest appearances from the BC Lions, for gameday fun as Centennial takes on Vancouver College. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Youth Flag Football Clinic

  • Saturday, September 17
  • 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. PT
  • Location: Notre Dame High School - 2880 Venables St, Vancouver, B.C. V5K 4Z6

Kids ages 5-14 are invited to join the Seahawks for a two-hour flag football skills camp! Flag football gives young athletes of all skill levels the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game in a fun setting. Seahawks Legend K.J. Wright, along with Mascot Blitz, Blue Thunder and Seahawks Dancers will also be in attendance. Register here.

Shipyards Festival

  • Saturday, September 17
  • 2:30-3:30 p.m. PT
  • Location: The Shipyards District Lower Lonsdale, North Vancouver

The Seahawks will be stopping by the Shipyards Festival – North Vancouver's signature music festival and street party that takes over the waterfront at the Shipyards District and Carrie Cates Court. Bring the family and watch Blue Thunder perform at 2:40 p.m. Fans can also grab a photo with Blitz and Seahawks Dancers. For more info on this free festival, click here.

12 North Tour Viewing Party - Seahawks @ 49ers

  • Sunday, September 18
  • 12-5 p.m.; kickoff at 1:05 p.m. PT.
  • Location: Jack Poole Plaza, Vancouver, B.C.

Join the Seahawks and fellow fans for a special Canadian Viewing Party for the Seahawks at 49ers game. The game will play outside on the big screen while fans enjoy food for purchase from local food trucks. A beer garden will also be available for fans 19+. A live DJ will perform along with Blue Thunder and Seahawks Dancers, and fans will enjoy appearances by Seahawks Legend K.J. Wright and Mascot Blitz. The event is FREE and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to RSVP early for a chance to win tickets to an upcoming Seahawks game at Lumen Field and receive important updates about the event. Fans who RSVP will also be able to pick up exclusive giveaways at the party, including a brand new 12 North Flag, while supplies last. Fans are encouraged to take public transportation or ride-share to and from the event. Parking will be available at the Vancouver Convention Centre Parking Garage. In December 2021, the Seahawks announced approval from the NFL to expand marketing and fan engagement efforts in Canada as part of the NFL's International Home Marketing Area Initiative (IHMA). As part of the initiative, the team will host regular fan engagement events in Canada throughout the season, along with increased community initiatives, localized partnerships, and aim to grow flag football opportunities under NFL Flag Canada programs. The Seahawks have historically had a strong Canadian fan base, including its current 3,300 Canadian Season Ticket Holders. Additionally, the team has averaged 13,300 single game tickets sold to Canadian buyers over the last several years.
