Seahawks Shine Light On Local Island-Style Restaurant For AANHPI Month

Seahawks visited Pasifika Grill and Bar for Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander month.

This month, the Seahawks visited Pasifika Grill and Bar, a restaurant in Bellevue, Wash. serving island-style food. The Seahawks along with Seahawks Legend Lofa Tatupu made the trip for Happy Hour with the Hawks, a program that highlights small and minority-owned restaurants in the Seattle area.

Tell us what inspired you to start your business.

"We saw a need for a common space to showcase our Pacific Island food and fellowship."

What are some of the challenges or hurdles you had to overcome?

"Increased cost for labor, food, and overhead charges."

What do you enjoy most about being a small business?

"The ability to personable, hands on, and establish strong partnerships with our network and community."

What does it mean to your business to be amplifies by the Seahawks?

"It allows our community and Pasifika professional athletes to have a platform and a sense of pride. The Seahawks' star power gives us a lot of exposure and also provides an example for the young Pasifika athletic community that there is support for them."

"We value and appreciate the Seahawks support for small businesses and giving us a platform to spread our island vibes and food."

Seahawks players and staff visited the Seattle Mariners' ballpark, T-Mobile Park, and took the field for batting practice on Monday, May 19, 2025.
