On Sunday, 68,773 tickets were distributed for Seattle's NFC Championship game, and those Seahawks fans brought the noise throughout a 31-27 win over the Rams. At times, the stadium could be felt shaking, like on Rashid Shaheed's 51-yard reception on a third-and-five play on Seattle's first drive.

Those fans contributed to a stadium atmosphere that makes Lumen Field unique and made this NFC Championship even more special for Seattle.

"I'm happy for the 12s, for our city," head coach Mike Macdonald said after the game. "What an atmosphere. Just to be able to take it in after and understand what our team has been able to do up to this point and how they've done it, we're just blessed. Just really blessed that we got a heck of a group and a great organization and owner and the best fans."

Before the game, quarterback Sam Darnold complimented the fans, saying they were smart fans for the way they know when the quiet the noise and when to pump up the volume. Sunday was no different.

"There's no way to describe this," receiver Jake Bobo, who had one touchdown catch, said "My ears are going to be ringing for two days. We needed them, we needed the 12s to win this one."

The fans are so critical to the Seahawks that even on what would be the biggest game of Nick Emmanwori's rookie season, he woke up thinking about the energy the 12s would bring.

"It's the best feeling in the world," Emmanwori said. "We've got the best fans in the world. It's a great environment every time we step on the field. I was thinking this is going to be our last time playing at home before we go to the Super Bowl when I woke up this morning. We've just got the best fan base in the world, and they show up every time and they get loud, there's nothing more we could ask for."

Devon Witherspoon who came up with huge pass breakups in the fourth quarter said the environment at Lumen Field is, "One of a kind. You're talking about the 12s being out there and having your back when we needed them. Even when we let them down, they stayed with us. That just lets you know the culture that we have over here. We built that and shoutout to all the fans. They played a huge part in us winning these games at home. I remember when everybody was saying that we weren't winning at home and that we had to do better. We heard what everybody said, and we had to right by our fans, so shoutout to the 12s."

The 12s continued bringing the noise through the postgame trophy celebration. As Macdonald gave his speech, the stadium was still packed with cheering fans.

"It was electric," Macdonald said. "Even during the celebration, I don't think anybody left. The whole stadium was still packed, just cheering for everybody. Just an incredible showing by the 12s."
