SANTA CLARA, Calif.—The Seahawks might have their kick and punt return depth tested next week due to injuries suffered by their top two return men.

Receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. and cornerback Dee Williams, who are Seattle's primary two kick returners, with Williams also handling punt return duty, both left Sunday's win over the 49ers with injuries.

Shenault exited the game early with an oblique injury, leading to running back Kenny McIntosh joining Williams on return duty.

Williams then injured his ankle late in the second half, and on the only 49ers punt late in the game, which came near midfield, the Seahawks elected to not have anyone return, which worked out with the punt bouncing into the end zone for a touchback.

The severity of both injuries was not immediately known after the game.

"He's got an ankle," Macdonald said of Williams. "It's not broken or anything, I don't think, because we got the X-ray. But we'll see this week after we get it imaged and all that stuff."

On Shenault, Macdonald said, "Viska has an oblique, the extent, I'm not sure. We'll get that imaged as well."
