We are approaching the halfway point of the fantasy football season, and if you started off well or badly, the ultimate outcome is far from determined. Those who can brag about winning records must remain vigilant in lineup and roster maneuvering. Fantasy players with losing records still have much time to turn their season around.

It sounds awfully cliché, yet you must focus on one week at a time. In NFL Week 7, Buffalo and Baltimore are on bye weeks, and more significant injuries in Week 6 are causing additional fantasy challenges. This free agent rundown will help you plug any lineup and roster holes.

We share the best fantasy football waiver wire targets for Week 7, with analysis leaning to PPR formats. Players are featured in preferred order of adds at every position.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Wide Receivers

Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots: In Week 6, Boutte flashed his promise again, catching five passes for 93 yards and two TDs. He looked good in the preseason and caught six passes for 103 yards in the season opener. The third-year Patriot might deliver more consistent fantasy output as Drake Maye ascends.

In Week 3, Maye passed for 261 yards and three TDs, with all the scoring passes coming in the first half of the win over New Orleans. Stefon Diggs is New England's established No. 1 WR, but Maye cannot lean on just one wideout when posting good numbers. Boutte is at least worth strong streaming consideration right now.

Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts: We are starting to see the fantasy re-emergence of Downs after he proved to be a useful fantasy option in 2024. Downs was not seen as a viable fantasy starter over the first four weeks of the season. In the past two games, though, he has registered 12 receptions on 15 targets.

Downs caught his first TD pass of the 2025 season last week. He should continue to operate as a reliable pass-catcher in key situations for Colts QB Daniel Jones. If his yardage totals begin to increase, Downs will become a hotter fantasy pickup.

Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears: It is possible that the Bears could be without D.J. Moore in Week 7, and Burden might be asked to step up to a more prominent spot in the passing game. He caught all four of his targets for 61 yards in a win over Washington on Monday.

In Week 3, the Chicago rookie caught a 65-yard TD pass and finished with 101 receiving yards, Burden can show off his upside again in Week 7. New Orleans has allowed eight TD receptions to opposing WRs, which ranks 29th in the NFL. Burden has streaming appeal this week even if Moore is active.

Kameron Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tampa Bay has been dealing with significant injury issues at WR, and Johnson stepped forward to catch all four of his targets for 64 yards and a TD last week. Monitor the Tampa Bay injury reports heading into Week 7 at Detroit. Kameron Johnson, Sterling Shepard and Tez Johnson could all play important roles in a high-scoring game.

Despite working with a thinned WR corps, Baker Mayfield has continued to be effective. Anyone who steps into a prominent role in Week 7 will carry fantasy potential for a quality outing. Add Kameron Johnson as the first of the three Buccaneers WRs, and Shepard second.

Other Week 7 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire WRs To Add: Jalen Coker, Zay Jones, Arian Smith, Luke McCaffrey, Van Jefferson.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Running Backs

Kimani Vidal, Los Angeles Chargers: Last week, we were wondering who was going to be the lead RB for the Chargers with Omarion Hampton out. Vidal came out of the mix and signaled that he is the guy to ride with in fantasy football right now, among the Los Angeles RBs.

In a great fantasy matchup against the Miami Dolphins, Vidal seized the opportunity and rushed for 124 yards on 18 carries, averaging 6.9 yards per attempt. His potential volume while Hampton is unavailable signals that he is easily the top RB to acquire off the waiver wire this week.

Zonovan Knight, Arizona Cardinals: The Arizona RB room has been thinned by injuries, and it now appears that "Bam" Knight and Michael Carter are the primary options. They may function in a timeshare or committee scenario until Trey Benson returns. Knight rushed for TDs in each of the past two games, and he looks like the primary goal-line option for now. Add Knight for fantasy RB depth, but Carter is also worthy of some consideration.

Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints: RBs who get a sizable amount of work are scarce on the waiver wire at this time. There just isn't much available at RB in free agency as we prepare for Week 7. So it's a good approach to anticipate who might get more touches as the season progresses. Miller could be in line for an expanded role at some point in the weeks ahead. New Orleans may start looking towards the future.

Isaiah Davis, New York Jets: Breece Hall is clearly leading the Jets' backfield right now. Yet more playing time could open up for Davis in the weeks ahead, especially if New York makes some impactful roster moves. Davis would function as a quality inside runner and goal-line option, so he is a viable fantasy stash right now.

Other RBs to consider adding in Fantasy Football Week 7: Tyjae Spears, Brashard Smith, Brian Robinson Jr. as an insurance/depth option. San Francisco appears to be dealing with a massive wave of injuries.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Quarterbacks

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars: Lawrence is coming off a home loss to the Seahawks in which Jacksonville was held to a season-low 12 points. Still, in his past two games, he has logged a two-TD rushing game and two-TD passing outing. Lawrence's fantasy production is starting to rise, so add him if you need a QB2 or streamer

Jaxson Dart, New York Giants: There is suddenly some excitement surrounding New York football, as Dart and fellow rookie Cam Skattebo spearheaded an electric win over the Eagles in Week 6. Dart passed for 195 yards and a TD, yet he has already showed off his willingness to run, which adds appeal in fantasy football.

Dart rushed for 58 yards and a TD in the victory over Philadelphia, You should at least consider him for bye week and matchup streaming. Dart is already capable of providing a decent statistical floor.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Tight Ends

Mason Taylor, New York Jets: The Jets rookie has showed some glimpses of promise, and now he will be needed to step forward in the New York passing game. While Garrett Wilson is out, other pass-catchers must fill the void, and Taylor has the potential to emerge as a top target for Justin Fields. In Week 5 against Dallas, he caught nine of 12 targets.

Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns: Cleveland is giving its rookies and young players ample room to develop in real game action. Quinshon Judkins has played a large role so far. Dillon Gabriel and Isaiah Bond are seeing more chances on the field, too.

Fannin earned his place on the offense in the preseason, and we could see him break out in the weeks ahead. Last week, he caught seven passes on a season-high 10 targets for 81 yards.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Defenses To Stream

New England (vs. Tennessee), Seahawks (vs. Houston), Carolina (vs. New York Jets) Chicago (vs. New Orleans).

The 'Hawks registered seven sacks in a dominant performance at Jacksonville, The return of DeMarcus Lawrence was an important factor, as both he and Byron Murphy II had two sacks each. Houston ranks 20th in the NFL in offense, and the Texans have allowed at least two sacks in every game played. The Seahawks defense can surely finish with more than two QB takedowns.

The Seahawks earned their fourth win of the season after defeating the Jaguars 20-12 in Week 6. Check out the best postgame celebration photos from Seattle's ninth consecutive road victory.
