Seattle was able to rebound from a close, and tough 38-35 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. Sunday's 20-12 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, once again showed how good the connection between Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is, but it also showed off Darnold's ability to throw the ball downfield. He threw two passes for 16 yards and then a 29-yarder to Cooper Kupp to help set up Kupp's first touchdown of the season.

Coming out of the half, and after scoring on three of the first six possessions, the Seahawks were able to take a two-score lead, going up 20-6 over the Jaguars.

Jacksonville won the coin toss and received the ball to start the game, which meant coming out of halftime, Seattle would receive the ball. The Seahawks began the drive at their own 23-yard line. The first three plays of the drive were all plays by Kenneth Walker III, two rushes for 14 yards and a reception for three yards. Smith-Njigba would make his sixth reception of the day for 13 yards to help move the ball to the Jacksonville 47-yard line. Darnold's next pass on that drive was a 29-yard pass to Kupp.

The next two plays were runs by Walker that set Seattle up at the Jacksonville 11 yard line and then finally an 11-yard touchdown reception for Kupp's first score as a Seahawk.

"I feel like they showed an all-up look," Darnold said. "Again, this is kind of a trend here with the execution of our offense, but it's something we've been working on for a really long time, that play specifically. Coop [WR Cooper Kupp] did a really good job of gaining outside leverage and just breaking to his spot that I knew he was going to go to. He did a great job of coming down with that one."

On that drive Walker had four carries for 21 yards. Smith-Njigba had a reception for 13 yards and Kupp caught two passes for 40 yards and a touchdown. That Seattle scoring drive went eight plays for 77 yards.
