Selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
- Led NFL with 32 punts downed inside the 20 and led NFC (2nd NFL) with a single-season franchise record 49.6 average. Ranked second in the NFC (3rd NFL) with a single-season franchise record 44.4 net average. Earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Week twice during the 2020 season (Weeks 2 and 15).
- Tied (Jeff Feagles, Jon Ryan) for the franchise-record for most punts landing inside the 20 in a single-season with 34 in 2019.
- Earned first-team All-Pro as a rookie after finishing second in the NFL with a club record 48.2-yard average. Was sixth in the NFL with a club record 42.5 net average. Second Seahawks punter named to the All Pro team, and first time since Rick Tuten earned second-team honors in 1994. Also earned a Pro Bowl bid as a rookie, following Tuten (1994) as only the second Pro Bowl punter in team history. Earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Month (November) and NFC Special Teams Player for Week 8.Â
COLLEGE:
After growing up in Australia, playing Australian Rules Football, transitioned to American football and played three years at Texas, finishing his career as UT's all-time leader in punting average at 45.32 yards per punt. Punted a school-record 226 times for a school-record 10,242 yards. Was the recipient of the 2017 Ray Guy Award. Named a unanimous first team All-American (AFCA, AP, FWAA, SN, WCFF). The 2016 and 2017 Big 12 Conference Special Teams Player of the Year. Named first team All-Big 12 at punter in both 2016 and 2017. Named 2017 Big 12 Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year and an Academic All-Big 12 First Team member. Also an All-American in 2016.
PERSONAL:
During high school played Australian Rules Football, serving mostly as a defender. Started each match in his career. Averaged approximately 20 disposals per game (a kick/punt or a hand pass). During 2014, participated for the Sydney Swans Academy (professional development team) and represented his state (NSW). Born in Sydney, Australia. Lived in Melbourne, Australia for the five months preceding his move to the United States in the summer of 2015. Mother is Lily Baum and stepfather is Stephen Baum. Has one sister, Rubie.
