The Seahawks placed four players on the physically unable to perform list Tuesday and waived linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven with a failed physical designation.

The Seahawks made a handful of roster moves on Tuesday with players reporting to training camp.

In addition to releasing Chris Carson with a failed physical designation, the Seahawks also waived linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven with a failed physical designation.

Burr-Kirven, a fifth-round pick out of Washington in 2019, has been a standout on special teams during his three seasons in Seattle. He will revert to Seattle's injured reserve list should he clear waivers.

The Seahawks also put four players on the physically unable to perform list to open camp, cornerback Tre Brown, linebacker Jon Rhattigan, tackle Liam Ryan and linebacker Tyreke Smith.

Brown and Rhattigan both suffered season-ending knee injuries last season, while Smith, a fifth-round pick out of Ohio State, and Ryan, an undrafted free agent out of Washington State, both are recovering from injuries sustained in offseason workouts.

Unlike players who start the regular season on the PUP list and are required to miss a set amount of time, players on PUP in training camp can come off the list and return to action at any time.
