When the Seahawks and Buccaneers meet in Week 5, fans will be transported back in time, as both teams will be donning their Throwback uniforms. Seattle will be wearing their 90s inspired Royal Blue and Apple Green uniforms, while Tampa Bay will be in their White Creamsicle jerseys, bringing back their original 1976 uniform design. The team announced earlier this week the return of the jersey.
Both the Seahawks and Buccaneers will be celebrating their 50th seasons, as both teams joined the league as expansion teams in 1976. Seattle was the NFL's 28th franchise and Tampa Bay was the 27th. And when both teams met for the first time that 1976 season, Seattle walked away victorious 13-10. The two teams have met 14 times since then and Seattle leads the all-time series 9-6. The most recent matchup between the Seahawks and Buccaneers was during an international game in Munich, Germany in 2022.
