Largent talked about his connection to Seattle prior to being traded to the Seahawks by the Houston Oilers. He said that it was an easy transition from the Oilers to the Seahawks for him because the quarterback and receiver coach at the time, Jerry Rhome also coached at Tulsa University where Largent went to school.

"My ace in the hole was the fact that Jerry Rhome had implemented our entire offense from Tulsa University into the Seahawks playbook. So, when they asked me to line up wherever I was supposed to be I knew exactly how deep to run the routes, when to look for the ball and all those kinds of things that you guys were working on since training camp started," Largent said.

He says that he had a workman's mentality when it came to learning and playing the game. Zorn speaks on the hard work and effort that Largent continuously put in throughout the season.

Largent spoke on the changes that he saw when the Chuck Knox era began in Seattle.

"It was really a confidence thing," Largent said. "Chuck was the factor in the turn-around of the Seahawks. He just instilled a type of confidence that we didn't have before."

And when Largent notched his 100th touchdown reception, he gave his jersey to Pete Gross, the radio play-by-play for 17 seasons from the Seahawks' inaugural 1976 season through 1992.

Largent said that he gave Gross his jersey because he wanted to honor him in his last game.

"Being inducted into the Hall of Fame is every player's dream," Largent said, and he says that he doesn't take that honor for granted.
