Running back Jadarian Price, a first-round pick out of Notre Dame, signed his rookie contract with the Seahawks on Friday, which means the entire 2026 draft class is now under contract.

"It means a lot just because, and I'm sure everyone has said it, but it's always been a dream of mine since I was a kid to play in the NFL," said Price after signing on Friday. "Now that I'm actually here, it's my reality. It's reality now and I feel amazing."

The Seahawks made Price their first-round pick after he averaged 6.0 yards per carry last season for the Irish, rushing for 674 yards and 11 touchdowns on 113 carries. He also added two receiving touchdowns and two touchdowns as a kick returner, averaging 37.5 yards per return. A third-team All-American as an all-purpose player, Price did not have a chance to put up bigger numbers because he shared a backfield with Jeremiyah Love, who was selected third overall by the Cardinals, but Price's college tape shows plenty of big-play ability.

As general manager and president of football operations John Schneider explained last month after Day 1 of the draft, Price brings, "Instant acceleration, vision, cut back ability, but his ability to work it back, not just completely bouncing all the time, working it back inside. And then probably his contact balance... One of his super talents is his ability to cut back and crease it. He has home run speed; he has a lot of explosive runs. He has returned three kickoffs for touchdowns in his career, two this year. That's such a unique feel. The USC game was ridiculous. Just that instant acceleration."

"I'm looking to bring a lot of explosive plays, a lot of touchdowns, a lot of yards, but also just showing the love for the game and love for my teammates," said Price when asked about what he is looking to bring to the table this season.

Price, the 32nd overall pick, was the first of Seattle's eight 2026 selections, all of whom are currently taking part in the team's offseason workout program, which includes organized team activities that began this week.

For all of those rookies, this part of the offseason is a chance for them to work with veterans and learn how the team operates.

"It's been great being able to watch and learn how Super Bowl champions do it, how veterans do it in their day-to-day process, but also the willingness from the veterans to give tips to the rookies on how they do things," said Price. "Guys like Zach Charbonnet and George Holani, those guys in my room, specifically have been tremendous to me. It's been a great journey. We have been working every day and I couldn't expect anything less."

The Seahawks participated in another practice as part of their OTA program on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
