With Seahawks players returning to the building for the start of the offseason workout program, safety Ty Okada signed his exclusive rights free agent tender on Monday.

The Seahawks tendered Okada and fellow exclusive rights free agent George Holani prior to the start of free agency, all but guaranteeing their return for 2026, as exclusive rights free agents—players with expiring contracts who have fewer than three accrued seasons—cannot negotiate with other teams once tendered, but Okada made it official on Monday by signing the deal (Holani signed his ERFA tender earlier this offseason).

Okada, who first joined the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Montana State in 2023, was a big part of Seattle's defensive success in 2025. After appearing in just nine games with no starts over his first two seasons, Okada played in all 17 in 2025, including 11 starts, and recorded 65 tackles, three tackles for loss, one interception, six passes defensed, one fumble recovery and 1.5 sacks.

With 2025 starter Coby Bryant leaving in free agency, Okada will head into camp competing for a starting job.

Seahawks players arrived at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center for the beginning of the team's voluntary offseason workout program.
