Seahawks Donate More Than $14,000 Worth Of Cleats For 'Impacting 50 Communities' Campaign

The Seahawks donated 120 pairs of cleats to Cle Elum-Roslyn High School and Safeway and Nourishing Champions awarded a $25,000 grant to go towards student athletes' access to health and nutritious food.

Cle Elum Nourishing Champions Imapcting 50 Communities

The Seahawks continued towards their goal of impacting 50 different communities throughout 2025 Seahawks season with a cleat donation of 120 cleats for Cle Elum-Roslyn High School.

The head football coach at Cle Elum-Roslyn High School, Mike Cameron said, "The kids are so excited about the cleats. I think it's great to have all the same cleats to hand out and helps promote teamwork. A lot of kids can't afford cleats like that so it's going to go a long way."

Along with the cleats, Cle Elum-Roslyn was awarded a $25,000 grant from Nourishing Champions, which is a collaboration between Safeway and Champions of Change that realizes access to proper nutrition is important to student athletes' ability to play. Champions of Change is also the non-profit founded by Seahawks Legends Doug Baldwin, Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril.

Throughout the 2025-26 school year, Nourishing Champions has awarded $500,000 to high schools throughout Washington.

Cameron said, "The Nourishing Champions grant is going to be huge for the school and school district. I was shocked when I saw that check. I about fell off the stage. I know what it takes as a group for us to raise those funds so for someone to just hand us a check like that is extremely impactful."

Adding, "We're in Central Washington, not in the Seahawks backyard, so to have everyone involved from the Seahawks means a lot and goes a really long way with the kids. It gives them excitement, confidence and that willingness to step up."

The Seahawks returned to Tumble Creek Golf Course at Suncadia on June 23, 2025, for the second annual Seahawks Classic. This premier charity golf event brought together Seahawks Legends, current players, and community partners for a day of fun, competition, and giving back. All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.
