Each week during the 2024 season, different captains will be named heading into the matchup.
Here are the three captains for Week 3 of the 2024 season:
- K Jason Myers
- C Connor Williams
- CB Devon Witherspoon
Last week, Jason Myers helped to secure the win for the Seahawks with a 31-yard field goal to lift the Seahawks to a 23-20 win over the Patriots in overtime. For that performance, Myers was given the "closer ball" by head coach Mike Macdonald. He also hit field goals from 38 and 44 yards during regulation.
Connor Williams will be facing his former team, who he played for from 2022-23. Last week he was playing in just his second game as a Seahawks, after only having been with the team since the beginning of August, while also coming off injury, and played every offensive snap – an impressive feat.
And on the defensive side, Devon Witherspoon was named captain, as he continues to play with the intensity and physicality he is known for.
A list of captains for each week so far is below:
Week 2 Captains
- QB Geno Smith
- S Rayshawn Jenkins
- WR Jake Bobo
- WR Dareke Young
Week 1 Captains
- QB Geno Smith
- NT Jarran Reed
- DE Dre'Mont Jones
