The NFL began rolling out its list of Top Players of 2025 and Leonard Williams ranks No. 99, the same number as his jersey, marking his third time in the Top 100 Players. While with the New York Giants in both 2021 and 2022, Williams ranked 84thand 97th on the list, respectively.

Williams who was acquired in a trade by the Seahawks midway through the 2023 season, had one of the best seasons of his career in 2024. His season stats of 11.0 sacks, 28 quarterback hits were second most of his career (set career highs with 11.5 sacks and 30 quarterback in 2020). His 16 tackles for loss and a 92-yard interception return touchdown were both career bests. His 11.0 sacks in 2024 led all NFL interior linemen in sacks and his 28 quarterback hits ranked third overall in the NFL and led all interior linemen.

The interception return touchdown vs. the New York Jets helped him earn NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week 13, and also NFC Defensive Player of the Month Honors for December/January. Eventually, he was named to the Pro Bowl, for the second time in his career and also selected to PFWA All-NFC Team.

"All-Pro level, All-Pro talent, Pro-Bowl talent," outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu said of Williams during the 2024 season. "That's what he's been, he's been able to do that. He was the No. 6 overall pick for a reason. He's always had it in him, he always could do it, and I'm happy he's doing what he's doing right now. He deserves all the recognition, because he's playing at a high level."
