Head coach Mike Macdonald opened his Monday press conference thanking the 12s for their support on the road. In what was a road game for Seattle, felt more like a home game with the number of fans that made the trip to Nashville.

Along with a few injury updates, here's five things we learned from Monday's press conference:

Injury Updates

During Sunday's game, safety Ty Okada (oblique), linebacker Chazz Surratt (ankle) and running back George Holani (hamstring) all left the game and did not return. Macdonald said he won't know until initial tests come back what the severity of each of their injuries are.

"They're banged up, they got their respective injuries," Macdonald said. "I would say that IR (injured reserve) is part of the equation with those guys, something we have to decide, and it's really going to be a function of how some of these tests come back and how they progress throughout the rest of the week. We'll see what their availability is for this Sunday, but they probably have to turn a corner to be available this week."

As for safety Julian Love and tight end Eric Saubert, who are eligible to return from injured reserve this week, Macdonald said, "We're still working through Julian's situation and same thing with Eric, so we'll see Wednesday what the plan is, but right now we don't really have a clear enough plan to report."

And then on linebackers Ernest Jones IV and Tyrice Knight, who both missed Sunday's game, Macdonald said, "Hopeful for both. It looks like Tyrice is on track to practice on Wednesday. EJ's normal load throughout the week, we take care of him a little bit on Wednesday, so we'll take that as it goes. But I know he's itching to play, so we'll see how the knee feels throughout the week."

Run Game & Kenneth Walker III Usage

For the second week in a row, Seattle's run game has taken strides since the beginning of the season. Seattle rushed for 114 yards as a unit and 5.7 yards per carry on Sunday.

"This is something that we've talked about for the length of the season," Macdonald said. "We felt like the effort was there, but the detail we wanted to chase and we felt like a lot of these runs were a block away, and it's either at the second level, the receivers blocking, it's hitting our targets, going to the right people, initial movement, being in and out of the right plays. There's a reasoning on every play, but it also felt like we were doing the right things, and we were on the right track and we've just got to keep firing away at it and stay to course and our guys have done that. I felt like everybody's really improved, including the running backs, and you're seeing the results of that process. Our coaches are doing great scheming it and we expect to stay on this track. It's going to be really important for us to be able to run the ball at the end of November and into December."

Following last week's game, Macdonald said that Kenneth Walker III had earned more opportunities and that started to come to life on Sunday as Walker rushed for 71 yards and added 30 yards on three receptions.

I think he was decisive running the football on his tracks and making fast decisions, which was great. He got us out of a couple tough situations, and then I felt him in the pass game. When Sam (Darnold) was later on in his progressions, he found Ken (Kenneth Walker III) late in the down and it created a couple explosives for us and Zach (Charbonnet) for that matter. We've got to keep doing that by finding him in the pass game and keep the running game going. They played fast and had some great plays on the sidelines. There were some plays on the sideline that we want to play a little bit better and finish plays a little bit in a better position, but on the right track."

Run Defense & Pressure Execution

Through 20 games, Seattle's defense has not allowed a 100-yard rusher, the longest active streak in the NFL and on Sunday, the Titans' leading rusher was quarterback Cam Ward who ran for 37 yards.

"Well, it's a catalyst for the rest of the things we want to be able to do on defense and putting these offenses in exclusively passing situations. When we do get in those situations, what we learned from this game is we have to execute better, rush and coverage working better together. Speaking of the run defense the guys are playing really hard. They're playing sound when we do run pressures, I think our pressure execution right now is probably the best it's been in the last two years. There's some really great stuff going on, communication wise, and making sure everybody's on the same page. That's a tribute to those guys preparation and being bought in of how we want to operate as well. So, that's something that we need to be able to continue to do."

Byron Murphy II And His Best Game

When an entire defensive front is playing as well as Seattle's has been, it's difficult to point out one player who had a good game, but Macdonald said he thinks Byron Murphy II had one of his "best games" on Sunday.

"I thought he was dominant. The play in the end on fourth and short was just an incredible play. Really took on three defenders, set the point of attack. I thought he rushed really well… but he's playing at a really high level right now, and I'm happy to see it."

Along with the fourth down stop Macdonald mentioned, Murphy had five tackles and 1.0 sack in the game.

Grey Zabel's Performance Against Three-Time Pro Bowler Jeffery Simmons

After Sunday's game, rookie Grey Zabel said he was "humbled" bye Jeffery Simmons and though Zabel was returning from what looked like it could have been a bad injury last week, Macdonald said Zabel played a "great" game.

"Simmons is a premier player in our league and anytime you're going against a guy like that, he's going to get his plays, but it's a matter of competing and fighting, and I thought Grey (Zabel), considering that, played a great game. There's some plays where Grey sustained a block or was in a combination block on Simmons that really helped us spring a run. I'm thinking of the run against Charbs (Zach Charbonnet) down on the red zone. I'm just really proud of his effort and his competitiveness. The guy's not backing down to anybody and won the opportunity to go against him. It's a great experience for him too, and to Grey's point, this is about as good NFL has to offer and it's a good measuring stick for where his game is."
