Geno Smith Receives Third FedEx Air Player Of The Week Nomination This Season

Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith is one of three players nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week for Week 13. This is the third time this season that Smith has been nominated for the award as he was the winner of the award in Week 2 and was nominated again in Week 10.

Smith put together one of his stronger performances of the season in the Seahawks Week 13 Thursday night matchup on the road against the Dallas Cowboys. He threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns, including a 73-yard TD to DK Metcalf in the first quarter, against the NFL's fifth ranked pass defense. His 334 yards are the most yards Dallas has allowed through the air in any game this season.

The Seahawks starting quarterback won the award earlier this season for his play in the Week 2 overtime win against the Detroit Lions. Smith threw for 328 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78% of his passes in the overtime victory against one of the top teams in the NFC. He would be nominated again in Week 10 for leading a game winning drive and throwing for a career high 369 yards against the Washington Commanders.
