numbers of note week 9

The Seahawks improved to an NFC West-leading 6-3 on Sunday with a 31-21 victory over the Cardinals. In addition to that final score, here are 12 numbers that help tell the story of Sunday's win over the Cardinals:

Consecutive wins for the Seahawks, all by 10 or more points, the first time they have won four straight by double-digit margins since they closed out the 2014 season with six such victories.

Consecutive third downs converted by the Seahawks on back-to-back touchdown drives in the third and fourth quarter immediately following Geno Smith throwing a pick-six.

Third downs faced by Seattle's offense on its final touchdown drive, a five-play, 85-yard drive that started with a 51-yard Noah Fant catch and run, and ended with four Kenneth Walker III runs, including a touchdown.

Arizona's yards-per-play average, marking the fourth straight game Seattle's defense has held an opponent below 5 yards per play. Prior to that, every Seahawks opponent had averaged better than 5.3 yards per play through five games, including three opponents averaging 6.8 or better.

Rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries for Kenneth Walker III on the Seahawks' two touchdown drives in the fourth quarter. Walker finished with 109 yards, and now has seven touchdowns in five games since taking over for an injured Rashaad Penny during Seattle's Week 5 game in New Orleans.

Touchdown passes thrown by Geno Smith through nine games, establishing a new career high with eight games still to play.

Games this season with a passer rating of 100 or higher for Smith following Sunday's game (106.9), the most game with a 100 or better passer rating by any quarterback in the NFL this season.

Sacks recorded by Uchenna Nwosu, who now leads the team with 7.0, a new career-high for the fifth-year outside linebacker.

Sacks recorded by Seattle's defense, all in the second half, giving the Seahawks 19 sacks in their past four games after recording just eight in their first five games.

Receiving yards for Noah Fant on five catches, his most as a Seahawk.

Career touchdown receptions for Tyler Lockett after he added another on Sunday, putting him into a tie with Doug Baldwin for the second most in team history behind Hall of Fame receiver Steve Largent.

Receiving yards gained by DeAndre Hopkins on four catches. In his previous two games since returning from suspension, Arizona's All-Pro receiver caught 22 passes for 262 yards.
