The Seahawks know that in order to grow the game of football, we must commit our resources to growing the game of flag football. Flag provides a new channel for football fans to enjoy the sport beyond the reach of tackle: making it both exciting and more inclusive. As a part of this initiative, the Seahawks are proud to support Girls Flag at all ages - driving participation by spotlighting our female players and their stories.
The Rise of Girls Flag
The sport is rapidly growing: with over 70 schools having launched Girls Flag at the high school level. Flag Football is taking over the country, and the world: with college scholarship offerings and the inclusion of the sport at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
How to Get Involved
Girls Flag has the opportunity to become the next WIAA state-sanctioned sport in Washington, with a vote happening in early May 2024. The best way to get involved? Getting informed. Keep up with all the latest Girls Flag news from the Seahawks.

The Seahawks are proud to support the creation of high school girls flag football programs across the state of Washington. Schools interested in starting a girls flag team now have the opportunity to apply for funds today.
