Brigadoon Service Dogs Offer A Helpful Paw To Military Families

Brigadoon Service works to provide service dogs for veterans, children and adults with physical, developmental, and behavioral health disabilities, to promote a more independent and enriched life. Their latest opportunity to help came with Staff Sergeant Siqueido and his son, Salem, who was born with Autism and would benefit from a service dog to help him with the daily functions of life.

A 50-foot gaming trailer came to the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, where Seahawks players played Call of Duty with the Seattle Recruiting Battalion and future soldiers who will soon be departing for basic training. Growing up with two parents in the armed forces, Seattle Seahawks defensive end Carlos Dunlap II understands the importance of supporting our servicemen and women. The Seahawks's Salute to Service game, presented by USAA, is November 21 vs. the Arizona Cardinals at Lumen Field.

For their tireless work during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Washington Army National Guard was selected to raise the 12 Flag for Week 11 of the 2020 season vs. the Arizona Cardinals, which is also the Seahawks' Salute to Service game. Video narrated by Seahawks Legend Nate Boyer.

In conjunction with the Seahawks and USAA the US Marine Corps held a Helocast Demonstration for the players and coaches following practice, as Marines jumped out of helicopters and swam to the shore just of the VMAC practice facility.
