Who To Watch In The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine

Of the over 321 prospects at this year’s Combine, here’s a list of notable players from the PNW in attendance, as well as players the experts have been mocking to the Seahawks in the first round.

The NFL Scouting Combine is a chance for general managers, coaches and scouts to meet and evaluate the different prospects prior to the NFL Draft in April. Here is a full list of the prospects.

Representing the Pacific Northwest, the University of Washington has a program-record of 13 Huskies invited to the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

Here are all the prospects that were invited from UW:

  • Michael Penix Jr., quarterback
  • Dillon Johnson, running back
  • Jalen McMillan, wide receiver
  • Rome Odunze, wide receiver
  • Ja'Lynn Polk, wide receiver
  • Devin Culp, tight end
  • Jack Westover, tight end
  • Troy Fautanu, offensive lineman
  • Roger Rosengarten, offensive lineman
  • Bralen Trice, defensive lineman
  • Zion Tupuola-Fetui, linebacker
  • Edefuan Ulofoshio, linebacker
  • Dominique Hampton, defensive back

This region will also have a handful of players that graduated high school in the area. Both Culp and Westover, who attended UW, also played high school football in Washington. Culp played at Gonzaga Preparatory School and Westover played at both O'Dea and Mount Si high school. Other players that have Washington ties are Taliese Fuaga (offensive lineman) who went to Oregon State University, and graduated from Mount Tahoma High School, and Ryan Rehkow (punter) who attended BYU and graduated from Central Valley High School in Veradale, Washington.

More players who went to high school in the PNW:

  • Anthony Gould, wide receiver, Oregon State University, graduated high school at West Salem High School in Salem, Oregon.
  • Kitan Oladapo, defensive back, Oregon State University, graduated high school at Central Catholic High School in Portland, Oregon.
  • Jonah Elliss, defensive lineman, University of Utah, graduated high school at Moscow High School in Idaho.

After the combine, the prospects have about two months before they could possibly get to hear their name on draft night in late April. But based on the latest mock drafts and what experts think Seattle may do with the No. 16 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, here is a list of where those prospects played football.

  • Byron Murphy, defensive tackle, University of Texas,
  • Troy Fauntanu, offensive lineman, University of Washington
  • Jared Verse, linebacker, Florida State University
  • Dallas Turner, linebacker, University of Alabama
  • Laiatau Latu, defensive lineman, UCLA

Before they were selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL Draft, they were hopeful prospects at the NFL Scouting Combine. Take a look at current and former Seahawks players participating in their Combine events.
