Wednesday Round-Up: Will the Seahawks go wide receiver with pick No. 31?

A daily link round-up of what's "out there" about your Seattle Seahawks

!

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Wednesday, Feb. 25 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Mock Draft Central

Daniel Jeremiah at NFL.com has his post-NFL Combine mock draft, projecting the Seahawks to select wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham at No. 31 overall. At 6-foot-5 and 237 pounds, Green-Beckham caught 13 touchdowns for the Missouri Tigers in 2013 and ran a 4.49 40-yard dash at the combine, but he has a history of off-field incidents. From a talent standpoint, he's drawn comparisons to Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson as a big-bodied down-field target. On Green-Beckham to Seattle at the end of the first round, Jeremiah writes, "The Seahawks were a play away from winning consecutive Super Bowls. Green-Beckham is a play-making machine. If he passes the character tests, this would be a great value selection."

Pat Kirwan at CBSSports.com has his fourth mock draft of the year with South Carolina offensive guard AJ Cann going to the Seahawks at No. 31. Cann stands 6-foot-3, 313 pounds and was a four-year starter for the Gamecocks. On Cann, Kirwan says, "*The Seahawks James Carpenter is a free agent and has issues staying healthy. Cann is a left guard with road grader skills." *

Peter King at TheMMQB.com leads his Tuesday reader mailbag with a post-combine mock draft, but stops after the first 15 picks.

Tweet Of The Day

Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes from Seahawks defensive tackle Brandon Mebane, who updates fans on his rehab from the hamstring injury that landed him on injured reserve this past November.

At the NFL Combine last week, Seahawks Executive VP/General Manager John Schneider said he expects the Seahawks' run-stuffer to be ready by the start of the 2015 season.

More From Around The Web

Here at Seahawks.com, Clare Farnsworth catches up with defensive tackle Jordan Hill, who's been running since last Monday in his rehab from a partially torn calf muscle that landed him on injured reserve in January.

Here's a look at the top 40-yard dash times to come from the this year's combine.

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is starring in a biopic titled "Family First" that depicts his rise from Oakland youth to NFL star. You can check out the full trailer right here (warning: some elements may not be safe for work).

Rob Rang at CBSSports.com shares 25 takeaways from the 2015 combine, labeling former Washington State defensive tackle Xavier Cooper as one of five players who helped themselves with their performance, *"Though few outside of the Pac-12 knew his name prior to the Combine, the 6-3, 293 pounder turned heads in Indianapolis, clocking in at a position-best 4.86 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Cooper also demonstrated his light feet during the short shuttle and 3 cone drills, perhaps moving into Top 64 consideration." *Rang also addresses specific Seahawks needs with the Tacoma News Tribune's Gregg Bell.

Doug Farrar at SI.com has a closer look at the four Washington Husky defenders set to enter May's NFL Draft - defensive lineman Danny Shelton, cornerback Marcus Peters, linebacker/safety/running back Shaq Thompson, and linebacker Hau'oli Kikaha.

Brady Henderson at 710Sports.com details the Seahawks' draft needs at the tight end position. And Danny O'Neil at 710Sports.com addresses Seattle's pre-draft needs at linebacker
