Renton, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks will be represented in the 2024 Pro Bowl Games by three players, the NFL announced this evening. LB Bobby Wagner earned his franchise-record tying ninth overall selection (Walter Jones, Russell Wilson), with two first-timers joining him in S Julian Love and CB Devon Witherspoon.

It is the Seahawks 13th-consecutive year sending at least three players to the Pro Bowl, and Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate Witherspoon becomes the second-consecutive Seattle defensive rookie, third overall, to be named to the NFC team (CB Riq Woolen, LB Lofa Tatupu).

Signed early in free agency, Love has started 11 of 16 games played and has set career-highs in interceptions (4), interceptions in a single-game (2), passes defensed (10) and special teams tackles (team-leading 12, T4th NFL). His two interceptions and eight tackles vs. Philadelphia (12/17) earned him his first-career NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. His 103 tackles this season are 13 short of his career-high of 116 set last season with the Giants.

Wagner ranks second in the NFL with 168 tackles, just three shy of setting a career-high, along with 3.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Seattle's all-time leading tackler with 1,549, Wagner recorded his 12th-consecutive season with 100-plus tackles and unofficially ranks seventh in NFL history with 1,689. With a start this Sunday, he would tie Jeff Bryant for fifth-place in franchise history with 167 games started, and with 16 tackles, he would set the single-season franchise record with 184.

Seattle's first-round selection (fifth overall) in the 2023 draft, Witherspoon is a nominee for Defensive Rookie of the Year. He ranks fifth among rookies in tackles (68), first in passes defensed (16), 11th in sacks (3.0), and was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week 4 and NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for October.

In Week 4 at the Giants (10/2), he recorded 2.0 sacks and returned an interception 97 yards for a touchdown, good for the second-longest interception return in franchise history. Since sacks became an official statistic in 1982, he became the 27th player with 2.0 sacks and a pick-six in a regular or postseason game, and just the third rookie to accomplish the feat.

Seattle has eight alternates to the Pro Bowl; ST Nick Bellore, LB Jordyn Brooks, P Michael Dickson, S Quandre Diggs, LB Boye Mafe, WR DK Metcalf, QB Geno Smith and RB Kenneth Walker III. The player would be named to the team if a selected member of the squad cannot participate.

The 2024 Pro Bowl Games will be a two-day celebration of AFC vs. NFC competitions featuring a format that spotlights new and returning skills competitions. The skills challenges will be televised from Orlando on Thursday, February 1, from 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. PT on ESPN. The Games conclude Sunday, February 4, with a flag football game at noon PT on ESPN and ABC.
