The Seattle Seahawks have been one of the NFL's best teams under the spotlight during the regular season. Since head coach Pete Carroll took over the team in 2010, the Seahawks have recorded a 19-3-1 combined record in prime time games (Sunday, Monday and Thursday games) and have outscored opponents 581-298.
The 2017 schedule release on Thursday revealed that the Seahawks are set to compete in four prime time matchups (three at CenturyLink Field) for the fifth consecutive season. Here's a quick breakdown of those opponents and when they will face them:
Indianapolis Colts (Week 4, October 1)
Seattle's first prime time game will be their second home game of the regular season against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football. The Seahawks are 12-1 at home in prime time in the Carroll era, and this is the first time Seattle and Indianapolis will face off in the regular season since 2013, and the first time in Seattle since 2005.
Arizona Cardinals (Week 10, November 9)
The Seahawks' only prime time game against an NFC West division foe will be against the Arizona Cardinals on the road shortly past the midway point of the regular season. In what is expected to be an NFL "Color Rush" game, Seattle will play the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football, which will be broadcasted on NBC and streamed on Amazon.
Atlanta Falcons (Week 11, November 20)
The Seahawks will be featured under the lights for the second consecutive week following their matchup against the Cardinals. In their only prime time matchup against a 2016 playoff team, the Seahawks will play the defending NFC champion Atlanta Falcons at home on ESPN Monday Night Football. Seattle, who won their regular season matchup against the Falcons last season, has won 11 in a row on Monday Night Football.
Philadelphia Eagles (Week 13, December 3)
The final matchup for the Seahawks in prime time will come against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. This is the first time Seattle will play the Eagles in prime time since 2011.
The Seattle Seahawks' 2017 preseason schedule features games at the Los Angeles Chargers, vs the Minnesota Vikings, vs the Kansas City Chiefs, and at the Oakland Raiders.
