Seahawks Sign TE Putzier

KIRKLAND, WASH. - The Seattle Seahawks signed TE Jeb Putzier to a one-year contract, the team announced today.

A product of Boise State University, Putzier joins the Seahawks after spending the last two seasons with the Houston Texans. He played in eight games in 2007, recording 6 catches for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Putzier, who played four seasons with the Denver Broncos after being selected in the sixth round (191 overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft, has played in 61 games registering 96 receptions for 1,251 yards and three touchdowns.

Putzier, 29, is married and they have one daughter.
